Hello Gang! How is everyone doing or should I say surviving? I do miss all of you very much and I would love to see you all some time.

Life sure is interesting and often change can bring out positive results! Life is good for me and I hope it is the same for you!

So I hear it's time for the DAR again. Jamestown though sound really boring! I recommend going to Barnes and Nobel.Com and purchasing one or two books from them. Next, I would go to Google and let my fingers do the walking or clicking if you now what I mean. "Right click", "right click" and so on.....

Basicaly as you learned from the "All Wise Mr. Galpine", if it wasn't for whiskey and tabacco, the colonies and thus the United States would have never made it! Jamestown was a total failure and more than 90% of the original settlers died from stupidity. In other words they had no clue what they were doing. Sounds like another group I know......

That leads me to explaining the picture or can you figure it out? Maybe I will wait and see what kind of responses you can come up with. Yes, please respond with all your comments please. What does this picture represent. The winner gets 5 free music downloads from Sony and me.

One last thing if I may.. Word on the streeet is that your new uniforms come from a company that is now ownwed by Barber Baker. Just think what you spent on your uniform and multiply that by 650 students which is the population of your school. Now multiply that by the 40 or so schools ownwed and operated by Miz Baker. $$$$$$$$$ What do think these people are really concerned about. Look at the quality of the replacement teacher for history class. Do they really care about you or your parents money? Think about....

Hello Everyone or should I say Goodbye...

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed working with you. I know some times were better and some worse but in general I thought we made it happen as a group and even had many laughs along the way.
We worked hard and accomplished a lot and I hope that you are proud of yourselves because I'm proud to have been your teacher.

If you wonder what happened to me, don't think to much about it. Lets just say it was a difference in philosophy between the "higher ups" and me. Challenger has some good things about and it also has a lot that needs examining. Just work hard and move through this time in your life and enjoy it as much as possible. Believe me, thats what I'm doing.
If you think of me I hope that you have memory of a laugh and maybe even somthing you found interesting one class one day.

I'm sure I will see you around town or who knows where.... Take care for now.

Sit up and take a look around. See how much you have grown in the last year!

Isn't life interesting... You have changed, you have grown. Look how far you have come in so short of time.

Yes, I'm being philosophical. Deal with it!

Mr. Galpine is very proud of all of you and your accomplishments.

I believe in each and everyone of you and your individual journies.

It's the third and final trimester, now is the time to shine and show your spots. Soon it will be summer and another year in the books. We will go our own ways but yet have the memories of time gone past. Lets make these last few months our best yet.

Speaking of best yet. Tests this week for 7th and 8th grade. We are into Jefferson and Judicial review as well as The Great, (or not so great for many) Depression and Hoover. What's a Hooverville anyway??/ 6th grade you have a break this week for once>Don't get use to it...

Hello Everyone,
This is the last week before Christmas, so let's make it a good one!

Sixth Grade: We will continue with Chapter 8 on Hindu India. This focus is on Buddhism. There is a test on Thursday.

Seventh Grade: We will be finishing up the Bill of Rights and have a test on Wednesday.

Eighth Grade: Chapter 24 is all about White House Reformers and up next is President Taft, then Wilson. If we can get to it all this week....

Here it is! This thing rocks! What color sweater should it be printed on? The backround color of this picture "looks a little blue" but it is actually jet black. The image will be large and crisp. I will get a sample by Monday. I would like to get the orders in before xmas for delivery early in January. There will be an order form in my room. Go for it!

Hello Everyone and especially all you Blog Dogs! Sorry I've been remiss in my communicato but as you can see I've also been doing double duty as an undercover agent in the Pesian Gulf near Kuwait.

Good job 6th graders- you did well today..... Most of you anyways... Keep trying if you results aren't want you expected. Next up is chapter 8, Hindu India. We will start on Thursday and Friday with section 1+newspapers!

7th Grade-things are progressing nicely on the Amendments. Just the Bill of Rights this week and a test next-week along about Tuesday or Wednesday. Rajiv, watch those IV Amendment Rights, don't want to get in trouble with the law and such.......... Just kidding, glad your feeling better!

8th graders, most of you are great and some of you are amazing. Others are, well you know. It must be hard to be moving on-but it doesn't require a complete melt down! You're not in done yet and won't achieve your goals without a strong finish. Test on Thursday. It won't be easy believe me!!

Hello Everyone! I'm back after a long peace keeping mission in the Middle East!

Your assignments are as follows:

6th Grade- Chapter 6 is all about the Roman Empire! All hail to Caeser, or Mr. Galpine. Expect a test at the end of the week!

Also get ready for a brand new assignment! You will develop a "Newspaper" with many articles from the time period we are studying! Yes, it's really a long assignment but very fun and worth one test grade for the semester, which is the length of the project. So much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7th Grade- We will continue with the United States Constitution specifically Articles 2-7 with a test at the end the end of the week! So Lets step up to the plate and take a swing.

8th Grade- Chapter 23 is in sight and it's all about the Progressive movement. We will take our time with this and the test will be next Monday.

"Newspaper"asssignments are back. Yes the same type we did last year! This will be due at the end of the semester with weekly inspections. This will equal one full test grade. Good Luck!

Sixth Graders get ready to study ancient Greek philosophy, as you should know this is Chapter Five and we are Section One! We will be doing one section a day as usual and testing at the end of the week.

Seventh Graders better be on your toes with the Constitution on your mind. Today we studied the Presidency and next we will be looking at the Judiciary. We will also be doing one section a day and testing at the end of the week.

Eighth Graders sit up straight and get ready to study Imperialism and Expansionism as it relates to the exponential component in regards to the theorem of American Capitalism. In other words Chapter 22, Section one, and you will also be tested at the end of the week.
